The Ruach HaKadosh (Holy Spirit) gently but firmly persuaded us to provide a place where people would come to celebrate a relationship with Abba--Father, on a journey of learning Torah. We chose El Shaddai as the name for our Ministries because there is no doubt he is the GREAT and MIGHTY GOD. We started as home group meeting in a living room. Soon, we outgrew the home setting and held the first official service in January of 2001 at the Grange Hall in Edgewood WA. We had less than 20 people attend that first service. Our assembly is made up of people from all faiths and walks of life that has grown to over 600 people, with thousands listening in from around the world. Even though the Ruach HaKadosh has guided us to larger places of worship, we have kept with the same core values. To those of you who have been with us through all or parts of the last few years, it's been a wonderful journey indeed. To those of you visiting and studying with us, welcome! We meet for worship, teaching and fellowship from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm on Shabbat. In our current series we see Yeshua revealed in the weekly Torah portions and the New Testament in a Hebrew Perspective. On the second and fourth Sabbaths we hold an Oneg meal after service, so please join us for the Oneg (meal) after service, if you should come to visit our congregation that day! We serve "Biblically clean style dishes" which means that the food is Biblically clean as defined in Leviticus 11. On Mondays we meet to study the devine significance and design in the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. So join us Monday nights at 7:00 pm. Our Statement of Beliefs defines the core of our beliefs in finer detail. Pastor Mark
About El Shaddai Ministries
The Power of Kindness and Generosity . One of the sages wrote this homily: "Ten strong things have been created in the world. . The rock is hard, but the iron cleaves it. Iron is hard, but the fire softens it. Fire is strong, but the water quenches it. Water is strong, but the clouds bear it. Clouds are strong, but the wind disperses them. Wind is strong, but the body bears it. The body is strong, but fear crushes it. Fear is strong, but wine banishes it. Wine is strong, but sleep makes one sober. And death is stronger than all of these. Tsedeka, however, saves one from death." --as it is written in Proverbs 10:2-- "Tsedeka (Charity, generosity or righteousness) delivers from death."
